ElderStudy Membership

Membership in ElderStudy is open to all retirement-age people in the greater Fredericksburg area.  There is no specific minimum age requirement.

ElderStudy follows the academic calendar - September through May.  Classes are most often planned for Tuesday and Thursday mornings, but may also be scheduled for other daytime hours.  Please refer to the SCHEDULE for definitive information.

Once you are a member, you are welcome to attend as many or as few sessions as you wish.  When pre-registration for a specific session or event is required, the Schedule will give this information.

Registration is by mail.  Print and complete the application and send it with your check to the address on the form.  Upon receipt, you will be contacted by ElderStudy.  Note that once you have sent in your registration you may begin attending sessions immediately.

Members may:

  • use the faculty dining facility in Seacobeck Hall for a fee.  Please show your ElderStudy badge when paying.  Members may also use the Eagle's Nest in the Woodard Campus Center.
  • audit University of Mary Washington classes free of charge if they meet the requirements.  Contact College Admissions, 654-2000.
