Cancellation Policy
Occasionally a class must be canceled - perhaps for inclement weather or the unexpected illness of a presenter. In such cases, every effort will be made to notify ElderStudy members of the cancellation.
Inclement weather - ElderStudy observes the UMW campus advisories. If the campus is closed due to inclement weather, any scheduled ElderStudy session for that day will not be held. In the case of delayed openings, ElderStudy observes the time-frame set by the University. Local radio stations, Fredericksburg.com, and the UMW hotline (540-654-2424 ) can provide information on closings.
Other cancellations - If it should be necessary to cancel a session for any other reason, ElderStudy will make every effort to notify the membership, usually by e-mail.
